SPS

SPS (Small Polyp Stony) corals are closely related to LPS (Large Polyp Stony) corals, and were once grouped together in the same category. As their name implies, SPS corals have small polyps on typically either branching or plated calcareouss (calcium-based) skeleton. The major difference between SPS and LPS is care, where SPS tend to need more light and flow (as well as attention to water quality and parameters) than their LPS relatives. As with all of our corals, you are purchasing the exact item you see listed. We operate strictly on a WSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) basis, so you always know exactly what you’ll be getting!
