LPS

LPS (Large Polyp Stony) corals are closely related to SPS (Small Polyp Stony) corals, and were once grouped together in the same category. Just like their name implies, LPS corals have large fleshy mantles or tenticles on a hard, calcareouss (calcium-based) skeleton. The major difference between SPS and LPS is care, where LPS tend to be more forgiving of water quality and conditions. As with all of our corals, you are purchasing the exact item you see listed. We operate strictly on a WSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) basis, so you always know exactly what you’ll be getting!
